Ah, we know how to pick them. I drove home in the rain once and there was something on my sandals... I looked down and realized water was coming up through the floorboard.amusinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03347183179627696626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-26114059639728859672007-06-04T12:43:00.000-04:002007-06-04T12:43:00.000-04:00patches - My friend's husband loves his wrangler f...patches - My friend's husband loves his wrangler for much the same reasons as yourself.

lee - I hated to give up that bug. The Discovery was the most irresponsible auto purchase I have every made. I kept it for three and a half years, and traded it before gas passed the $2 a gallon mark. It drove well, but it was hard to get replacement parts, and expensive to repair.

I can't say the jeep was a responsible purchase, but it was more fuel efficient, I really enjoy driving topless during spring and fall, and I can park it almost anywhere. Besides the mileage is so low, I'd be foolish to trade it now (36,500).jadedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12326141253899975708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-28561562594233756732007-06-04T08:44:00.000-04:002007-06-04T08:44:00.000-04:00MoI - I filled up our jeep this weekend and spent ...MoI - I filled up our jeep this weekend and spent $45. AAUUUUGH!

Urbin-Urchin - One of Laura's sisters have had 2 hondas - the first was a tiny civic from the '70s (I think) and they put over 300,000 miles on it before parking it - to buy another civic in the mid '90s. They are still driving it.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13690660290319444722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-17524183719735346822007-06-04T01:07:00.000-04:002007-06-04T01:07:00.000-04:00honda civicmitsubishifordhonda civic
mitsubishi
fordurban-urchinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18001320142893492171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-50043836191450030892007-06-03T18:19:00.000-04:002007-06-03T18:19:00.000-04:00Yeah, thanks...I feel a bit guilty driving an SUV ...Yeah, thanks...I feel a bit guilty driving an SUV but we do really go to places like that about 4 times a year plus every weekend where my husband goes skiing in the snowbwlt, it really helps to drive one, We may be able to get a smaller one like a Honda CRV or Toyota Rav. We also only have the one car since my husband works in a home office and I have worked in town. There, I no longer feel guilty! Going to go and fill up the tank now! Having a car gives you that freedom to pick up and go at will.

I have heard something about Germany's licensing procedures. They are much more strict and require much more practice under instruction that the U.S. does. I wish we had stricter requirements sometimes.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13690660290319444722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-64739538638321511532007-06-02T08:44:00.000-04:002007-06-02T08:44:00.000-04:00You know what, I never owned a car in my life. First my parent's cars then I lived in the city where you don't need a car. Nowadays I borrow my MIL's Ford Fiesta about twice a month. When that 11 year old car dies we'll probably take a taxi.Susannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14220769941216066968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24985728.post-85957995547462095992007-06-02T00:32:00.000-04:002007-06-02T00:32:00.000-04:00Meno - I remember replacing the throw out bearing ...Meno - I remember replacing the throw out bearing on my bus. Then, a Ford tempo, Ford Bronco II, Izuzu, Explorer and now a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder which we love.
